Breeding policies
All breedings are free (We are not currently capable of fulfilling snail-mail requests)
You are required to read the following before you make a breeding request. When you make a breeding request you are agreeing to the policies below, so it is a good idea to know what you are agreeing to!
I have tried to keep this as brief as possible. If you do not abide by our policies, we may have to cancel the breeding.
We are happy to help you out with any questions you have, and also to assist you in choosing the right sire and dam for your next breeding wonder. Please don't hesitate to ask for help! (email: [email protected]).
General Breeding Information
- We follow genetic & color rules. Generally having one of the parents the same color as the foal will suffice
- We do not accept made up pedigrees as matches for our horses
- Aging & Non Aging young are accepted; BSO considered if they are going to have progeny
- Link back to us - if we bred them, please state "Bred by Hanshin Farm" in their description & have a link to this website. It helps us a lot to recieve publicity.
- Horses indicated with a ®, -r or (r) are real live animals
- All horses are given a Breeding Number, which is a simple identifier for our records
- Do not apply the given ID, breeding or name to another horse without approval. Approval is easy to gain, just send me an email with the breeding you wish to apply and a picture of the new model so I can check it out or make a suggestion if it is not quite right for the parents
- The current breeding word is Dimension
- Do not use my horses without permission. Getting permission & a certificate is easy, just the matter of sending a breeding request. The breeding is FREE, you also get recognition from us and links onsite if you do it the right way - so there is no need to steal
Changes in Ownership, Deceased Animals & Certificate Re-Issues
- If a horse that has a Hanshin Farm breeding changes hands, please let me know so I can update details & links
- If you purchased a horse with Hanshin Farm breeding please let me know so I can update details & links
- If you sell a Hanshin Farm horse without the breeding details, or it is broken beyond repair or customized in any way beyond simple leg/face markings, please let me know so I can place "dec'd" in their details
- Re-issue of Breeding Certificates (in case of loss) can only be obtained through a current photograph of the model & if you are the original stud who requested the breeding. Anyone else will have to re-apply
Privacy & Copyright
- We request a photo of the foal, and we host & use it upon this website & occasionally in progeny classes (stock images are not used), with appropriate credit applied
- We recommend that you place your stud name or copyright text on your photos
- If you are using a stock image (for OF horses), or a photo taken by the artist, please let us know so we can apply appropriate credit & update it ASAP with your own photo
- Your website link is listed on this website
